I Have A Dream Speeches

In his “I Have a Dream” speech, Martin Luther King, Jr. was trying to persuade American to move forward towards freedom, justice, and equality, as well as trying to send a message of hope to Black Americans. If Dr. King were alive today and giving a speech at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., what do you think he would say?

Mrs. Trull’s 8th grade English students were given the task to pretend to be Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and write a speech to be delivered this year as if they were addressing a gathering of people during a march in Washington for the first time since 1963.
